How is it determined that my car can be declared a total loss?
A total loss is considered when the cost of repair of the insured vehicle, duly approved by the Company, exceeds:
65% of the insured value when the vehicle is up to one year old.
75% of the insured value when the vehicle is more than one year old.
How much will the Company pay me in case of Total Loss?
In case of a total loss, the Company will pay the actual current value of the automobile, that is, the limit of liability detailed in the individual conditions of the policy, excluding the depreciation and the deductible agreed upon for the affected coverage.
What are the basic coverages of my car policy?
The basic coverages are:
- Bodily Injury
- Damage to other people’s property
- Collision
- Total Theft
- Glass Breakage
- Public Disorder
- Catastrophic Risk
What added value does my car policy offer me?
All automobile policies for private use with their own damage coverage have the following added values at no additional cost in all the departmental capitals of the Departments of the Pacific of Nicaragua, Estelí, and Matagalpa, extending up to a radius of 65 km. from said departmental capitals:
- Coordination of the traffic agent at the site of the accident.
- Photography of the damages.
- Legal counsel in case of an accident.
- Towing of the vehicle in case of breakdown or accident.
- Change of tire (repair cost does not apply).
- Fuel supply (the cost of the fuel supplied does not apply).
- Power supply to the battery.
- Locksmith to open the vehicle door.
What is ASSA Móvil?
It is an exclusive ASSA service included in your car policy at no additional cost. It provides assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with just one call to 1800 991.
How do I file a claim?
You must submit your claim within 30 business days from the date of the accident at the ASSA office of your convenience. You must present the accident report with the required data duly signed by the insured, which may be requested from your insurance broker or directly from ASSA. You should not take your car to be repaired until you receive authorization from ASSA.
